Furlough Scheme Extension
The Chancellor, Rishi Sunak, has announced an extension to the Furlough Scheme until October 2020.
Key headlines
Full details have not been published but the key headlines are:
1. Current set-up is extended to 31 July – Government will cover up to 80% of furloughed employers wages.
2. From August, employers will be able to bring back furloughed workers on a part time basis
3. Employers will pay part time portion of wages and government will make up the difference to ensure employees receive 80% of their salary up to £2,500 per month.

There have been no further announcements for the self employed sector or for limited company directors.
